Day 01 : Delhi - Haridwar (205 Kms. 06 Hrs Drive)
Upon arrival meeting and assistance followed by drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival check at Hotel. Evening aarti at Har ki peri. Overnight stay at hotel.
Haridwar is located at the foot of the Shivalik hills on the banks of the holy Ganga. Known as Mayapuri in the Puranas, it is mentioned in the memoirs of the Chinese traveller Huien TSang. Legend has it that the ancestors of Raja Bharigarh were burnt at this holy spot by the curse of Sage Kapila. They were redeemed by the Raja's penance which brought the Ganga down from Lord Shiva's locks. Millions of devotees flock to this temple city annually to redeem themselves. The most sacred of the bathing ghats lining the river is Har-ki-Pauri. This is the venue of the Kumbha and Ardh Kumbha Melas, held every 12 and 6 years respectively, when hundreds of thousands of Hindu pilgrims, priests and sadhus gather Overnight at hotel in Haridwar
Day 02 : Haridwar - Uttarkashi (150 kms / 05 hrs)
Morning drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival Uttarkashi Check in at Hotel. Evening visit Lord Vishwanth Temple and Shakti Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.
Uttarkashi: Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.
Day 03 : Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 kms per way)
Early morning drive to Gangotri. reverberates with chants and prayers of Hindu devotees from dawn to dusk. A boulder marks the spot where Raja Bhagirath beseeched the Goddess Ganga to descend to earth. An ancient temple dedicated to the goddess rises to over 11,000 feet (3,000 m). The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa, in the 18th century, is situated on the left bank of Bhagirathi. Bhagirath Shila / Surya Kund are some of the major interest for pilgrims. Drive back to Uttarkashi and overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Uttarkashi - Rishikesh (167 kms/ 06hrs)
Morning drive to Rishikesh. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening visit Laxman Jhula, temples & Ashrams. Overnight stay at hotel.
Rishikesh is located some 24 km north of Haridwar on the right bank of the Ganga, surrounded on three sides by the Himalayan ranges. Legend has it that God revealed himself to Raibhaya Rishi as Hrishikesh, after long penance and this sacred spot was henceforth known as such. A renowned centre of Yoga discipline and learning, Rishikesh is dotted with shrines and ashrams. Some 5 km away is the famous temple of Laxman Jhoola, dedicated to Laxman, the brother of Lord Ram, where he is believed to have performed penance. Rishikesh is also the starting point of several treks and pilgrimages to the holy shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Aarte ceremony at Trivenbi Ghat or Parmartha Niketan would be interesting. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 : Rishikesh - Delhi (234kms/ 07hrs)
Morning drive to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi drop you at the Airport / Railway station for onwards destination.
